Child's Story
Thelma Tembo is a ten-year-old girl born on the 24th of October, 2011. She lives with her parents and 31 others in a 5 roomed rented make shift house. Living in a house of so many relatives is a constant struggle for her to eat, to have access to school and to have proper clothing as a beautiful child in the sight of God.
Thelma is an obedient child who shows kindness and she is patient to those around her even when she is mistreated or insulted. She also engages in trading to help out at home with day to day needs. She has passion for school but has never been to school and only admires others. Thelma’s reason of not attending school in her early age is traceable to living in a home of so many family members and profuse financial constraints of which makes it impossible to have better distributions of basic needs.

Regardless of all these struggles Thelma’s ambition is to become a doctor one day. She also loves to sing and her favorite sport is soccer. Thelma normally helps out with house chores that is washing and cleaning of their environment. The word of God says bring all the children to me for theirs is the kingdom, Thelma is included and we believe God will help her fulfill her destiny through us as we put our hands together to achieve this goal through Christ who strengthens us. As CHIM we believe that it is possible for her dreams to be fulfilled and realized.
