Child's Story
Jelly Tembo aged 6 years old was born on the 8th of August, 2016, she lives in Wasala Community with her maternal grandmother as the primary guardian. Jelly lost her mother when she was 2 years old and since that time the maternal grandmother has remained to be her sole provider of all the basic needs. Jelly’s father abandoned her when the mother was pregnant of her.
Jelly and her grandmother depend on relatives and neighbors in the community for there day to day livelihood. This is all by reason of the maternal grandmother who is the primary sole provider being in her late 60s and can’t afford to work and provide adequate meals, clothing and to help have the child realize the basic need of education. Pretty little Jelly at times would go on an empty stomach in a day if nothing is provided for her and the grandmother. She also helps the grandmother with most of the household chores on a daily basis. Jelly and her grandmother live in a two-room makeshift house as their shelter.
Jelly is an adorable little girl whose dreams of life have not been darkened by the prevailing hardships, Jelly has remained in all these challenges super ambitious and desires to be a Doctor when she becomes of age. Jelly also like Evelyn loves attending the kids Sunday school at her community church. Her favorite hobby is cooking and she’s passionate about playing netball.

Our earnest desire is that God Almighty will pave a path for Jelly Tembo to realize her God ordained vision of life and that she may live to help her relatives and community.
